Teriparatide Acetate
PTH analog for osteoporosis management. Anabolic bone-building peptide stimulating osteoblast activity, increasing bone mineral density and reducing fracture risk in severe osteoporosis.
Teriparatide is a recombinant human parathyroid hormone (PTH) analog consisting of the biologically active N-terminal portion of PTH (amino acids 1-34). It is the first and only anabolic osteoporosis therapy approved for the treatment of severe osteoporosis in postmenopausal women, men with primary or hypogonadal osteoporosis, and patients with glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis. By stimulating osteoblast activity, Teriparatide increases bone mineral density (BMD) and improves bone microarchitecture, reducing the risk of vertebral and non-vertebral fractures.
